FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
A: Thomas AI is a specialised, enterprise-grade tool designed to govern revenue decision quality and operationalise the Thinking Planner framework at scale. Unlike general-purpose AI assistants, Thomas AI is trained exclusively on the Thinking Planner methodology and serves as a rigorous sounding board for strategic thinking and decision governance.
-
Thomas AI strengthens your strategic thinking and decision-making discipline by: challenging assumptions, separating facts from guesses, generating diagnostic questions, and guiding your thinking through structured coaching to improve the quality of your revenue decisions.
-
Thomas AI is not a content generation tool. It will not write emails, proposals, or decks; invent customer insights; replace manager coaching; or provide generic advice. It is specifically designed for strategic thinking, not sales content creation.
-
No. Thomas AI is not available to the public. It is a private, purpose-built system created specifically for organisations using the Thinking Planner framework. Access is restricted and provided through tailored enterprise agreements.
-
A: Thomas AI is designed for organisations running the Thinking Planner that want a non-negotiable standard of selling thinking, proof-based accountability across revenue opportunities, and scalable coaching without relying on heroic management efforts. It serves leaders, enablement teams, managers, and sellers.
-
A: Access to Thomas AI is provided at the company level under tailored enterprise agreements. Pricing is customised based on team size, number of users, level of support needed, and contract duration. Contact thomas@thomaspreiss.com for a custom quote.

-
A: Come prepared with: specific deal context, your current thinking and assumptions, the pressure point you're facing, evidence you have, and what you're uncertain about. The more specific your input, the more rigorous and valuable the AI's coaching will be.
-
A: Yes. Thomas AI is valuable at any deal stage: early stage (pressure-test your customer understanding), mid-stage (validate deal logic), late stage (prepare for negotiations), and post-deal (reflect on decision quality).
-
A: Yes. Thomas AI implements multiple layers of security including data anonymization, access controls, and data isolation. Your conversation data remains confined to your individual instance and is never shared across organisations or used to train global models.
-
A: We advise against it. Use generic identifiers (e.g., 'Enterprise Client A') instead of real names as a security best practice. Focus on deal dynamics and decision logic rather than customer identity.
-
A: Your conversation data is used exclusively to provide personalised coaching and improve your individual experience. Your data is never used to train global AI models, shared with other organisations, or sold to third parties.
-
A: Thomas AI works best when embedded into your existing coaching structure: sellers run deal scenarios through Thomas AI before 1:1s, managers review insights in coaching sessions, and it's used for deal reviews, onboarding, and reinforcement of the Thinking Planner discipline.
-
A: Check your settings, clear your browser cache, and try logging out and back in. If the issue persists, contact your organisation's Thomas AI administrator or reach out to thomas@thomaspreiss.com with a description of the problem.

You can — and for many tasks it's genuinely useful. General AI tools have improved significantly. They have memory, they can feel surprisingly personal, and they're good at a wide range of things.
But there are two problems that matter specifically in your world.
The consistency problem. Ask ten sellers the same question and you'll get ten different answers — not just because they prompt differently, but because general models vary their outputs based on factors you can't see or control. There is no standard. What one seller presents to a customer may look nothing like what another presents. At scale, that's a governance problem.
The accuracy problem. General AI will research and generate information that sounds authoritative and is sometimes wrong. In a customer conversation, a confident but incorrect claim about their business, their market, or their numbers is not just embarrassing — it's a trust risk you can't easily recover from.
Thomas AI is deliberately ring-fenced to avoid both.
It operates within the Thinking Planner boundary — so every seller is working to the same standard. It does not search the web or generate external research. You still do that work. What Thomas AI does is challenge how you're thinking about what you already know — not add information that hasn't been verified.
The goal is consistency of thinking, not convenience of answers.
